OGBONO SOUP

Ingredients Required

Ground ogbono

pumpkin leaves [vegetable], 

meat, 

dried fish [mangala], 

crayfish, 

palm oil, 

onion, 

salt 

Seasoning Cube

bitter leaf.

   Preparation

a. Parboil the meat and crayfish, adding onion, salt and magi. Collect the water from the parboiled meat.

b. Dry a pot on the fire. Add red palm oil and heat to bleach it.

c. Add onion and the ground ogbono and stir well to form a drawing paste.

d. Add the water to the parboiled meat/fish. Stir thoroughly. Add the okra to enhance the thickening and  Cook for 10 minutes.

e. Add the pumpkin, stir and boil for 10 minutes and lower the heat.

f. Taste and put down and serve.
